Bhilwara: A minor quarrel between children turned fatal in Kanechhan Kalan village under Phuliya Kalan police station limits in Bhilwara district, late Friday, leaving a 35-year-old man dead and another seriously injured. Police said the deceased, Premchand (35), and Ganeshilal, both residents of the village, got into a violent clash after their children argued while playing. The dispute intensified when Premchand’s wife went to Ganeshilal’s house to confront him, triggering a heated exchange between the families.According to Shahpura ASP Rajesh Arya, the situation escalated when Premchand was called to the spot. The verbal argument soon turned physical, with both sides confronting each other. During the scuffle, Premchand allegedly attacked Ganeshilal with a stick. In retaliation, Ganeshilal picked up an axe and struck Premchand multiple times, critically injuring him.Premchand was rushed to the Phuliya Kalan Community Health Centre, where doctors declared him dead. Ganeshilal also sustained serious injuries and was initially taken to Shahpura District Hospital before being referred to Bhilwara for further treatment.Police conducted the postmortem on Saturday and handed over the body to the family. Based on a complaint filed by the deceased’s relatives, a murder case has been registered. Ganeshilal, currently undergoing treatment at Mahatma Gandhi Hospital, has been detained, with police personnel deployed at the facility.An FSL team inspected the spot and collected evidence. Police said the accused will be formally arrested after discharge.
