Times News NetworkKanpur: A Motinagar resident Amit Gautam has filed a complaint against his colleague alleging fraud of arranging a house in government colony. He said that Satyam Tiwari, a resident of Tiwaripur Jajmau, used to work in his office. In December 2023, Satyam allegedly tempted him by claiming he could arrange a government colony house in Sajari area through the Alaknanda Yojana.He further stated that Satyam introduced him to his associate Naushad Ali, who lives in Bakarganj. They allegedly took 45,000 rupees from him and provided forged colony papers. Later, they took another 45,000 rupees in the name of his brother-in-law Pramod and again handed over fake documents on the pretext of getting possession.According to the complaint, between May 2024 and March 2025, they took a total of 1.90 lakh rupees, but no colony house was provided. When he asked for his money back, he was allegedly assaulted. Following this, he approached the police, and when no action was taken, he submitted a complaint to DCP East Satyajit Gupta. Station in charge Sanjay Pandey said that the report has been filed and the matter is being investigated.
