Vadodara: A 24-year-old man drowned in the Narmada canal in the Chhani area on Wednesday night.The deceased, identified as Krunal Parth, had reportedly gone to the canal while returning home. Locals present nearby saw him drowning and heard his cries for help but were unable to rescue him as they did not know how to swim.One of them alerted the fire brigade, which rushed to the spot and launched a search operation. After several hours, the team recovered Parth’s body.
