Kanpur: A 25-year-old man died while several goats were injured after the roof and a wall of an animal shed collapsed in Mohanpur area of Itarra village under Ghatampur police station limits late Friday.According to reports, Amit Kumar was sleeping in the animal shed near his house when the roof and a wall of the structure suddenly collapsed, burying him and several goats under the debris.Hearing a loud thud, local residents rushed to the spot, rescued Amit from the rubble, and took him to a hospital, where doctors declared him dead on arrival.Ghatampur inspector Manoj Singh Bhadauria said the body was sent for postmortem examination and further action would be taken based on the report.Ghatampur SDM Avichal Pratap Singh met the deceased’s family members at the hospital on Saturday morning and assured them that every possible help would be provided by the govt.
