Hisar: A 45-year-old man was allegedly beaten to death late Tuesday night at a temporary night shelter built by the municipal corporation near Madhuban Park in Hisar.The deceased was identified as Balkar, a resident of Jind district. Police reached the spot on Wednesday morning after receiving information and initiated an investigation. The main accused, identified as Krishna, is reportedly absconding, and raids are being conducted to trace him. According to preliminary investigations, a quarrel broke out among three to four men staying at the shelter while they were consuming alcohol. The argument allegedly turned violent, during which Balkar was struck forcefully in the chest. He reportedly began bleeding from the nose and collapsed shortly thereafter. Other occupants found him lying unconscious in the morning and alerted the police. The body was taken into custody and sent to Hisar civil hospital for post-mortem examination. A forensic team also visited the scene and collected evidence. Police officials said the exact cause of death will be confirmed after the post-mortem report is received.
