Several senior IPS and State Police Service officers were transferred across key postings

Mumbai: The Maharashtra govt on Thursday issued a reshuffle in the state police department, transferring several senior IPS and State Police Service officers across key postings. Some transfers that took place last week have also been cancelled. Praveen Padwal, who was Special Inspector General, Nashik Range, has been transferred to Special IG, VIP security. Padwal has been replaced by Sanjay Yenpure in Nashik. Sandeep Patil has been posted as Special IG, Nagpur Range.IPS Sharda Raut, whose posting was pending, has been posted as Special IG (Prevention of Atrocities on Women), Ramnath Pokale, Special IG, Amravati, has been posted as Special IG (Planning and Coordination), Pokale will be replaced by Mahesh Patil, who was last week transferred from Mumbai to IG, Amravati.DCP Amarsinh Jadhav, Thane, has been transferred to Navi Mumbai, DCP Vivek Pansarae from Mumbai to Thane.The department has cancelled the transfer of DCP Akbar Pathan (Mumbai Operations) to Nashik. Last week, he was transferred to Nashik Range.DCP Priti Tipre, Sheela Sail, Dattatray Kamble, SS Burse and Vinita Sahu were transferred to Mumbai city. Thane DCP Shrikant Paropkari has been posted at Maritime Security, State Intelligence Department.In the State Police Service cadre, Shashikant Borate has been transferred as Superintendent of Police, State Police Control Room, while Sambhaji Kadam has been appointed Superintendent of Police, Anti Terrorism Squad, Pune.
