Sitamarhi: CM Samrat Choudhary on Saturday said the Maa Janaki temple at Punaura Dham in Sitamarhi was expected to be ready by Dec 2028 at an estimated cost of Rs 882 crore.Samrat participated in the ‘Vigrah Pratishtha’ programme on the temple premises amid Vedic hymns, religious fervour and grandeur. The historic Ram-Janaki temple was decorated with flowers and lights. The religious event was held in view of the ongoing construction of the world-famous Janki temple. The deities have been shifted to Sri Sita Ram Mandapam, a makeshift temple.The CM, accompanied by Union minister Rajiv Ranjan Singh, alias Lalan Singh, and deputy chief ministers, visited the pisciculture hatcheries at Raghopur Bakhari and took stock of the facilities. He expressed delight on seeing the breeding process.Samrat also visited several booths and stalls showcasing the achievements of various govt departments on the premises.
