New Delhi: Alumnae of Lady Shri Ram College (LSR) who cleared UPSC this year came together for an interactive panel discussion, offering insights into their journeys and preparation strategies. LSR College hosted a felicitation ceremony honouring ten alumnae who passed UPSC CSE 2025 with ranks ranging from AIR 14 to AIR 312. The achievers shared their experiences with fellow students, emphasising the importance of consistency and self-study. The panel urged students to attend their classes regularly, as two of them noted that they maintained nearly 100 per cent attendance during college. In a panel discussion, the alumnae reflected on their journeys towards succeeding in one of India’s most challenging examinations, while also offering aspirants practical advice on how to optimise their preparation and perform at their best. Addressing the students, professor Kanika K. Ahuja, principal, LSR, said, “You’ve got a front-row seat to witness greatness, and I hope you’ve also had an aha moment of what a 100 per cent attendance can do.” “The panel advised aspirants to choose their elective subjects based on genuine interest rather than market trends, and pointed to university syllabi and classroom teaching as reliable guides, since both closely track what UPSC tests,” said an official. Popular optional choices among the alumnae included political science, international relations, anthropology, economics and history. Students were also encouraged to use their undergraduate years to better understand themselves, their interests, and their strengths by actively engaging in campus life and participating in co-curricular and extracurricular initiatives.
