Khaitan & Co has advised L’Oréal in relation to acquisition of a majority stake in Innovist (Onesto Labs) from the promoter and existing shareholders of OLPL. Metalegal Advocates has served as the exclusive legal counsel to Onesto Labs Private Limited (Innovist) and its shareholders, including founders Rohit Chawla, Sifat Khurana, and Vimal Bhola on this transaction.
Onesto markets its products in the personal care category under the primary brand name “Bare Anatomy“, “Chemist at Play” and “Sunscoop” in and outside India.
The agreement between L’Oréal and Innovist represents a defining moment for India’s D2C personal care ecosystem, with L’Oréal, the world’s largest beauty company, making a significant strategic commitment to the Indian premium digital-first consumer market.
