Times News NetworkKanpur: Loan to the tune of Rs 578 crores was disbursed to 6691 beneficiaries in a mega credit camp organized under the joint aegis of the joint commissioner (Industries) Kanpur division and the Bank of Baroda (Lead district bank) at the bank premises on Monday.The objective of the camp was to facilitate easy availability of loans to entrepreneurs and eligible beneficiaries—and to boost the flow of credit in the Kanpur division by establishing better coordination among the department of industries, the District Industries and Enterprise Promotion Centre, and banks.Sunil Kumar, joint commissioner (Industries), said that efforts are being made through the mega credit camp to promote industry and entrepreneurship while connecting the maximum number of eligible beneficiaries with various government schemes. The availability of easy credit facilities will assist youth and entrepreneurs in self-employment and starting businesses, thereby expanding industrial activities and creating employment opportunities.On this occasion, loan sanction letters and cheques were handed over to 15 beneficiaries by banks with the aim of promoting self-employment and entrepreneurship.……………………
