Gandhinagar: State govt said on Monday that linking Aadhaar to Parivahan portal has been made mandatory. Govt said in a statement that under the new system, linking an Aadhaar card on the Parivahan portal has now been made compulsory for cases involving change of vehicle ownership and transfer of vehicles to other states.. The rule has come into effect across the country from July 15.The online ownership transfer process will go through only if the Aadhaar details match fully. In case of a mismatch between the Aadhaar information and the details on the Parivahan portal, applicants will be allowed to proceed only after submitting their driving licence details. Further, if there is a discrepancy between the RC book and driving licence details as well, applicants will have to visit the RTO office concerned in person and complete the process by furnishing the necessary supporting documents, the statement issued by govt added.
