Vadodara: A leopard fell into a sump in Devgadh Baria town of Dahod district on Saturday morning, prompting a rescue operation by forest officials.The big cat was spotted inside the sump located behind a college in the town. It is suspected that the leopard may have strayed into the area in search of food or water.Forest department teams rushed to the site and cordoned off the area to prevent disturbance to the animal.Sources said rescue efforts were initiated, and a ladder was placed inside the sump to help the leopard climb out safely.
