Srinagar: The University of Kashmir has achieved a major milestone by completing the first cycle of the Four-Year Undergraduate Programme (FYUGP) introduced under the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.

The university has declared the results of the 8th Semester of the FYUGP 2022 batch, marking the successful completion of the first four-year undergraduate programme under the new education system.

The achievement is being seen as an important step in the implementation of NEP 2020, which aims to bring flexibility, multidisciplinary learning and research opportunities into higher education.

University officials said the successful completion of the programme reflects the collective efforts of teachers, students and administrative staff.

“This is a proud moment for the University of Kashmir. The completion of the first FYUGP cycle shows our commitment towards academic reforms and providing better learning opportunities to students,” an official said.

The official added that the university had worked continuously to implement the new curriculum and credit-based system as per the guidelines of NEP 2020.

“The successful declaration of the 8th Semester results is an important achievement. It will help students move ahead with new opportunities in higher education, research and career development,” the official said.

With this achievement, the University of Kashmir has strengthened its position among institutions leading the transition towards the new education framework in the country.
