Mysuru: Karnataka State Open University (KSOU) vice-chancellor AP Gnanaprakash Thursday said every learner support centre of the university must strictly adhere to the UGC-Open and Distant Learning Regulations, 2020, to provide students with quality, transparent and accountable services. Presiding over a special guidance and interaction meeting held at the university, the VC said the centres should not function merely as admission hubs but must serve as vital links in taking education to every section of society. The meeting was organised to implement the July admission drive for the 2026-27 academic year and strengthen the functioning of centres. Secretaries of the centres, regional directors and various department officials presented their experiences, issues and suggestions. The administration offered necessary practical solutions from both academic and administrative perspectives. Dean (study centre) Anandagowda urged all officials to work in close coordination during the admission campaign. Registrar (evaluation) CS Anandkumar, dean (academic) Ramanatham Naidu and finance officer Niranjan Raj were present.
