Madikeri: The special intensive revision (SIR) of the voters’ list has been progressing briskly in Kodagu district despite the rain, with over 83.2% of voters covered as of Thursday, according to authorities.Booth-level officers (BLOs) at 552 polling booths in Madikeri and Virajpet constituencies began door-to-door visits on June 30, distributing SIR forms. The two constituencies have a total of 4,68,657 voters. Of these, BLOs have distributed 3,90,070 forms through door-to-door visits.In Madikeri constituency, 2,09,781 forms have been distributed, and in Virajpet constituency, 1,80,289 forms have been distributed, said deputy commissioner SJ Somashekar, who is also the district electoral officer.During the drive, it was found that 275 voters were deceased, and 42 voters had their names in two assembly segments.
