Madikeri: Kodagu district has achieved an 86.6% digitisation target as of Aug 24, with a total of 4,05,803 voters completing the digitisation of their electoral forms. The district administration will now freeze the digitised list, even as 62,854 voters have been categorised under the Absent, Shifted, Dead, Duplicate, and Others (ASDDO) list.Speaking to reporters on Monday, DC S J Somashekar said 62,854 flagged voters have been excluded from the draft electoral rolls. He urged the residents to verify their names in the draft electoral rolls, which have been uploaded. Voters whose names have been omitted can submit claims and objections until Oct 27.Out of the district’s total 4,68,657 registered voters, 13,731 have died and 33,381 have relocated out of the district, according to the draft. Additionally, 6,046 voters were flagged as duplicates and 9,580 were unavailable at their addresses during three separate visits by booth-level officers (BLOs), leading to their classification as absent. Furthermore, 116 voters who collected enumeration forms failed to return them, and they are placed in the ‘others’ category of the ASDDO list.
