Kolkata: Kolkata Municipal Corporation (KMC) has missed the second deadline — July 31 — to submit a draft report on the delimitation survey. On Friday, KMC commissioner and administrator Smita Pandey stated that the deadline would be further extended.Previously, the draft report was supposed to be submitted by July 27, following which the final report would be submitted to the state urban development and municipal affairs department by July 31. However, the top KMC official said that the draft was not ready and officials were working on it.In keeping with chief minister Suvendu Adhikari’s words, the civic body has formed Central Delimitation Committee (CDC), which tasked the borough delimitation committees to undertake a field-level survey of ward-wise population and verify the notional boundaries of the proposed wards that will undergo change on completion of the delimitation process.
