Hyderabad: Union minister G. Kishan Reddy alleged that the Congress govt deliberately included residential properties that have valid title documents, house permissions and other permissions in the 22A prohibited list with the with the intention of facilitating land grabbing and real-estate business. He accused Congress leaders of trying to harass and exploit the people and said that the state has been completely turned into a real-estate business.Speaking at BJP Maha Dharna at Indira Park on Bhu Bharati- 22A inclusion of private properties, Kishan Reddy said that just as the previous KCR govt indiscriminately sold govt lands, the present Revanth Reddy government is also selling lands in the same manner. He said attempts were being made to sell lands belonging to the University of Hyderabad and the Maulana Azad National Urdu University, which comes under the Centre. He also stated that the government had already received ₹1,200 crore by selling State Bank of India land.He alleged that housing board sites, lands allocated for community requirements and parks, and even endowments department lands were being sold in the name of auctions. He said the govt had been brought to a situation where it could neither run the administration nor meet its expenses without selling land. He criticised CM Revanth Reddy, alleging that from morning till evening he spends his time discussing with collectors which lands should be sold and which should be taken over.He mocked the Congress, saying that the party, which came to power in the name of “Praja Palana” (people’s governance), is now practising “Praja Peedana” (harassment of the people).Kishan Reddy said that the BJP would not remain silent when injustice was being done to poor people in Telangana, a state achieved through the sacrifices of 1,200 Telangana martyrs. He said activists, farmers, workers, students and youth were standing with the party.BJP state president N. Ramchander Rao criticised the govt, alleging that people across the state—particularly middle-class families and farmers—are being subjected to severe hardship in the name of Bhu Bharati and the 22A prohibited list. He said that the right to one’s own land is a constitutional right and accused the state govt of trampling even these human rights.He criticised the previous BRS govt for allegedly handing over the Dharani system to a blacklisted software company and committing irregularities. He said that the Congress govt came to power promising to introduce Bhu Bharati to correct those shortcomings, but was now acting even more seriously.He also criticised the govt for introducing and imposing new laws through committees such as the Kodandaram committee. He said that when the Chief Minister and ministers themselves acknowledge that mistakes have occurred, the govt responsible for those mistakes must be punished.MPs Laxman, Etala Rajender, D.K.
