Prayagraj: The state govt on Thursday handed over a cheque for ₹15 lakh to the family of the victims of Meja triple murder. Additionally, documents for residential land leases (patta) – allocating one ‘biswa’ of land to each of the five family members – were also handed over to the family.On the night of June 15, Shyam Lal Gupta (65), Indravati Devi (58), and Amravati Devi (52) were brutally murdered in Kukurkatwa village, under the jurisdiction of the Meja police station.The affected family met Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath at his official residence on Tuesday, to seek assistance and security. The CM assured them of all possible aid and promised strict action against the accused.Administrative officials also announced that a proper access road would be constructed leading to the affected family’s home. It was also assured that illegal constructions erected by the accused would be demolished and legal notices has already been served.
