LUCKNOW: A new angle has emerged in the killing of pathologist Manvendra Singh, 49, with investigators claiming that the background of the accused, Akshat, as a scriptwriter for local Ramlila helped him cook up an initial story to conceal his involvement in his father’s murder.Residents said Akshat was known in the area for writing Ramlila scripts, assigning roles, and performing intense characters like Parashuram and Ravan.
A video from a Ramlila presentation is being circulated on social media in which Akshat is purportedly seen in the role of Parashuram.Investigators claimed that Akshat’s scriptwriting and stage experience helped him construct a fake version of events leading to his father’s murder. They claimed that he built a complete, convincing narrative — sequencing actions and explanations in a way that sounded coherent and believable — aimed at deflecting suspicion and misleading investigators.Investigators are examining mobile data, call records, messages, social media activity, bank transactions and CCTV footage from routes allegedly used to dispose of evidence.
