By M BhavaniCOIMBATORE: Katta Ravi Teja, who assumed office as Coimbatore corporation commissioner Wednesday, said he would strive to improve key focus areas like drinking water, solid waste management and monsoon preparedness. “My previous experiences would definitely help me in delivering the best to this city. The key focus areas like drinking water, solid waste management and monsoon preparedness will be looked into, and more improvements will be made,” he told reporters here.He said all the public grievances would be resolved at the earliest.Ravi Teja, a 2020 batch IAS officer belonging to the Tamil Nadu cadre, succeeded M Sivaguru Prabakaran, who has been appointed as the Ramanathapuram district collector. Teja is the 30th commissioner of the Coimbatore corporation.In his previous roles, he served as an assistant collector(training) in Tiruvannamalai district, as an assistant secretary gained experience in central govt schemes in the ministry of agriculture and farmers’ welfare in New Delhi, and acted as a sub-collector in Tindivanam in Villupuram district. Before being appointed as Coimbatore corporation commissioner, Ravi Teja was serving as the regional deputy commissioner (North) for the Greater Chennai Corporation.
