Varanasi: Shri Kashi Vishwanath Dham on Friday received offerings from Malaysian temples for the Mahashivratri festival.Shamila Perugan, representative of the minister of economic affairs division, Republic of India, who arrived from the Malaysian High Commission office, presented reverence offerings for Lord Kashi Vishwanath on behalf of various temples in Malaysia.

Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple Trust, Varanasi initiated a distinctive spiritual initiative to celebrate the sacred festival of Mahashivratri. Under this innovation, a tradition is being established of offering sacred gifts and reverence offerings from prominent pilgrimage sites and temples from India and abroad at the holy feet of Lord Shri Vishweshwar Mahadev.The gifts sent by Malaysia-based temples included worship material and other sacred items, which were duly and reverentially accepted by the temple trust. This occasion became a strong symbol of unwavering faith, devotion, and cultural unity towards Sanatan Dharma at the international level.Meanwhile, as part of the Mahashivratri festivities, the cultural evening of the third day under the four-day Mahashivratri festival organised at Shri Kashi Vishwanath Dham concluded on Thursday evening in an extremely dignified and Shiva-filled atmosphere. The devotees and spectators enjoyed the excellent presentations of devotion, music, and dance with great emotion.The programme commenced with a melodious and soulful sitar recital by renowned artist Supriya Shah, accompanied on tabla by Vibhash Maharaj. Subsequently, Ranjana Ray gave a captivating presentation of folk singing. She was followed by Saurabh Mishra and Gaurav Mishra, who mesmerised the audience with their lively and impressive Kathak dance performance. In the 4th presentation, Shani Mishra presented devotional singing based on Lord Shiva.
