Colva: Betul coastal police and fisheries department seized four fishing boats on Wednesday, with the help of fishermen from Colva, Benaulim, Varca and Cavelossim.The boats were found operating illegally in Goan waters, said coastal PI Navlesh Dessai.Fisherman Pele Fernandes said the boats were suspected to have originated from Karwar and Malpe and had trespassed into Goan waters at 6.30am.Fisheries officer M Naik said the process of weighing and auctioning the catch was under way and fines will be imposed.
