Bengaluru: Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) Monday clarified that for II PU science candidates, the highest marks obtained across Exam-1 and Exam-2 will be considered for CET ranking.KEA executive director H Prasanna stated that students appearing for the second exam to improve their scores need not worry, as their best performance in either attempt will be taken into account, continuing the policy followed last year. The clarification came amid rumours suggesting that marks from the second exam may not be considered. He also noted that CET results will be declared only after the announcement of both Exam-1 and Exam-2 PU results. However, the provision applies only to students under the Karnataka state PUC syllabus. Candidates from CBSE, ICSE and other state or central boards will not be covered under this rule.
