Times News NetworkKanpur: District Magistrate Mahendra Singh Tanwar on Friday said the special summary revision of voter lists for Kanpur Nagar assembly constituencies will start from Nov 12. The qualifying date for the revision will be Jan 1, 2027. He said as per the schedule of Election Commission and Chief Electoral Officer of UP, the process of rationalising polling stations will be completed by Nov 2. The draft voter list will be released on Nov 12, and people can file claims and objections till Dec 11.The claims and objections will be disposed of by Dec 28, while the final electoral roll will be published on Jan 4, 2027.The district election officer appealed to residents to contact their respective booth-level officers (BLOs) within the stipulated period and ensure that the names of all eligible family members are included in the electoral roll.
