Srinagar: Tariq Hameed Karra and Dr Audil Farooq Mir have expressed deep sorrow over the demise of veteran journalist Abdul Rashid Shah.
In a condolence message, Karra, who is the President of the J&K Pradesh Congress Committee, and Dr Mir, Srinagar District President of JKPCC, said they were deeply saddened to learn about the passing away of the distinguished journalist, describing him as a widely respected figure in the journalistic fraternity.
They said Shah always used his pen in the right direction and rendered fearless service to journalism and society.
They added that his demise is a great loss to the journalist fraternity of Jammu and Kashmir.
Karra and Mir also conveyed their heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family and colleagues of the late journalist and prayed for eternal peace to the departed soul and strength to the family to bear the irreparable loss.
