Srinagar, Feb 28: History was scripted in Hubli as J&K were crowned Ranji Trophy champions for the first time in 67 years, sealing the title on the basis of a massive first innings lead against Karnataka in a drawn final.
After posting a commanding 584 in their first innings and restricting Karnataka to 293, J&K tightened their grip on the contest. They declared their second innings at 342 for 4, setting an imposing tone before both captains shook hands to confirm the result.
