Bengaluru: Police at Bidadi station were stunned Thursday night when a 30-year-old woman walked in and calmly confessed to stabbing her former boyfriend with a kitchen knife.The woman, identified as Sudha, reportedly told police officers in a casual tone: “He could be dead now; his intestines had come out during the attack.”
Sudha was taken into custody and a police team rushed to the victim’s residence at Silk Farm, Bidadi. They found 26-year-old Venugopal, a gym trainer, suffering from severe stab wounds in his abdomen and hands. He was rushed to a nearby hospital where doctors said he is stable and responding to treatment.Sudha, a private firm employee, was arrested on charges of attempted murder and remanded in judicial custody at Ramanagara district prison. Sudha said she and Venugopal were in a relationship for two years. “But Venugopal started ignoring me, which made me insecure,” Sudha told investigators, adding: “For the last 10 days, he stopped taking my calls or replying on WhatsApp. I suspected he was seeing someone else.“Sudha went to his house Thursday night and when Venugopal attempted to walk away, she attacked him with a kitchen knife she had brought from her home.
