Hazaribag: A 37-year-old vocational teacher was found dead under suspicious circumstances along the Chatra-Dobhi stretch of NH-22 in Ghanghri village in Chatra district on Tuesday, triggering a blockade by villagers demanding investigation and compensation.The deceased, Mukesh Yadav, a resident of Ghanghri village, was posted as a vocational teacher at Govt Plus-Two School in Pratappur block. His body was found lying on the roadside in the morning along with his motorcycle.As news spread, hundreds of villagers and relatives gathered at the site and alleged that Yadav was murdered and demanded the immediate arrest of those responsible. The blockade at the Chatra-Dobhi road brought traffic on the busy national highway to a standstill for several hours.Vashishthanagar police station officer-in charge Amit Kumar Singh, along with local officials, rushed to the spot to restore normalcy. Police later took possession of the body and initiated legal procedures. The blockade was withdrawn in the afternoon after assurances from the administration.Officer in-charge Singh said, “Probe is underway. The exact cause of death would be established only after the post-mortem examination.”
