RANCHI: Three FIRs against 28 named people and more than 900 unidentified people following clashes between protesting job aspirants and security personnel in Jharkhand’s Giridih and Hazaribag, officials said on Sunday.The cases were filed a day after three FIRs were registered at Ranchi’s Kotwali police station against 14 named and 200 unidentified people for allegedly obstructing government work and engaging in clashes with police.Two FIRs were registered at the Town police station in Giridih over incidents reported on Friday and Saturday. Another case was filed in Hazaribag over allegations of obstructing government work and assaulting police personnel, officials said.The action came amid protests by thousands of students over alleged irregularities in Jharkhand recruitment examinations.On Friday, the protesters gathered at Gandhi Maidan, where they planned to burn an effigy of chief minister Hemant Soren. A confrontation broke out between the protesters and police during the gathering.
