Ranchi: An AI-enabled tutorial programme, which is being rolled out in a phased manner, at the CM Schools of Excellence (SoE) across Jharkhand, has started to deliver results with many registering a significant turnaround in their overall pass percentages in this year’s CBSE X board results which were declared recently. For example, CM SoE Tantnagar in West Singhbhum district, has recorded an encouraging jump in overall pass percentage. In 2024-2025, the school’s overall pass percentage stood at 28.81%, which jumped to 92% this year with all 25 students clearing the exam.Ramgarh district’s KGBV CM SoE Kaitha, which transitioned to CBSE boards for the first time, achieved 98.28% pass rate with zero failure. In Godda district, CM SoE Sunderpahari improved from 34.15% to 73.58%.“The Sampurna Shiksha Kavach (SSK) programme is being run in 16 out of the total 76 CM SoEs located in West Singhbhum, Ramgarh, Godda, Latehar, and Koderma districts. These schools are already equipped with AI-based 24×7 FILO teaching platform,” programme manager Deepesh Singh said.“The SSK initiative is helping in addressing critical learning gaps. With many schools battling severe shortage of subject-based teachers, this platform is proving to be a blessing for students, who can access personalised teachers for live one-on-one sessions to clear their doubts at any given point of time throughout the day. If any student does not like any specific tutor, he/she has the option to choose a new one. The personalised coach helps the student to supplement classroom learning as per his/her choice,” Singh explained. Many schools are also using the vast content resources available on the platform for classroom teaching using the pre-installed smart boards which makes learning fun, he added.“Many are also preparing for JEE, NEET by taking the assistance of the platform,” he added.Aa student of CM SoE Sadar in West Singhbhum, Kujri Korah, scored over 80% in the board exams. “The platform helped me in clearing my doubts, especially in science. I had to scan the question through the App and within minutes, I was connected to a teacher live, who would explain the concept and clear all doubts,” he said.Karan Kumar, who topped among CM SoEs in Latehar district, said, “The platform is innovative for students vis-a-vis classroom teaching. We have an option of connecting to vast range of tutors as per our preference of time and language. I am now preparing for JEE-NEET using this.”West Singhbhum’s district education officer (DEO) Tony Toppo said that the programme debuted in all three CM SoEs over the past year and results are visible.“While we are implementing this programme in our schools mostly through smart classes, students having smart phones are using it to study beyond the school hours. SSK is boosting the academic trajectory as compared to last year. All the three CM SoEs in our district have registered encouraging rise in overall pass percentage,” he said.
