Jhansi: Jhansi boxer Imroz Khan clinched a silver medal at the ongoing Golden Belt BoxingTournament being held in Romania on Thursday.Imroz delivered an impressive performance throughout the internationalcompetition in welterweight category settling for silver after a threerounds bout, going down 4-1 to a Romanian boxer in the final bout, narrowlymissing out on the gold medal.Currently serving as an Assistant Sub-Inspector in the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) inHaridwar, Imroz has consistently represented India inmajor competitions. She had earlier won a gold medal for India at the World Police Games held in United States of America in 2025.Her father Ishaq Khan a TV mechanic and mother Shabnam wholives in Chaniyapura expressed pride over their daughter’s achievement.Imroz completed her BPed from Bundelkhand University before joining CISF.Talking to TOI on phone from Romania, Imroz said she feels proud of hercountry but was also sad for missing Gold.
