Rajkot: A jewellery company lodged an FIR against one of its employees for allegedly fleeing with over Rs 13 lakh worth of gold entrusted to him for making ornaments.According to the complaint filed by Rahim Dosani, business development head of Junagadh Jewellery Pvt Ltd, Prasenjit Bhunja was given 327.4g of 22-carat gold between Feb 1 and 10 to make jewellery. He returned semi-finished ornaments weighing 147.2g but went missing on Feb 11, without informing the company. His mobile phone has since remained switched off.A subsequent stock verification found that 86.9g of gold was left in his work box, while 0.52g was accounted for as manufacturing loss, leaving 93g of gold, valued at over Rs 13 lakh, unaccounted for.Police launched a search for the accused, who is originally from West Bengal and had been working with the company since 2015.
