Nagpur: A case of cheating was registered against a couple for allegedly duping a local jeweller of Rs 37 lakh by promising to sell him an agricultural land.Complainant Manoj Ninave (50), owner of a shop at Itwari, said the accused Dilip Ninave (48) and wife Darshana (45), residents of Vinoba Bhave Nagar, visited his shop. Between Sept 2021 and April 7, 2025, they offered to sell their farm at a low price due to debt. Ninave paid Rs 37 lakh and executed an agreement on April 7 last. Despite repeated demands, the couple neither registered the land nor refunded the money, Tehsil police said. TNN
