Jaipur: Over 35,000 candidates who appeared for Joint Entrance Test (JET), Pre-PG and PhD entrance exams for agriculture courses protested at Shaheed Smarak Tuesday, demanding that counselling begin soon.The exams were conducted by Swami Keshwanand Rajasthan Agricultural University, Bikaner, on June 27, and results have already been declared. However, candidates said counselling has not started even after more than three months.The protesters submitted a four-point memorandum to additional chief secretary (agriculture), seeking early release of the seat matrix and no-objection certificates required from govt to begin the process.Student representative Vijay Chaudhary said the delay has left candidates unsure about which university or college they could get admission to.They also sought a clear counselling schedule and tentative dates so students can plan their admissions without further uncertainty.They also sought a clear counselling schedule and tentative dates so students can plan their admissions without further uncertainty.
