Jaipur: Jaipur Development Authority (JDA) has approved development works worth Rs 109.07 crore, with Rs 40 crore dedicated to solarising the six sewage treatment plants and two gardens along Dravyavati River. Approvals were cleared at the ninth meeting of JDA’s Project Works Committee (PWC) Monday. The largest allocation of Rs 45.76 crore is for a four-lane underpass at Rajmahal Palace, along with a service road and drainage works.The PWC also approved design and drawings for a pedestrian underpass on Mahal Road in Zone 9. This will pave the way for further action to provide pedestrians with safer and easier movement across Mahal Road. For road and pedestrian infrastructure, JDA approved Rs 2.81 crore for footpaths on major roads in Zone-A, Rs 3.67 crore for road repairs in Jaisinghpura Khor and work on Bhadade Pulia, and Rs 4.24 crore for road renewal and construction in Zone C2.The meeting was chaired by Jaipur Development Commissioner Siddharth Mahajan. Senior JDA officials, including Secretary Gaurav Saini, Director (Planning) Mrinal Joshi, Director (Finance) Suresh Verma and engineering officials, attended the meeting.
