Srinagar, Jul 24: The Jammu-Srinagar National Highway (NH-44) remains closed to vehicular movement due to intermittent landslides and shooting stones at multiple locations caused by continuous rainfall, the Traffic Police said in an update at 7 am.
The Traffic Police advised commuters to avoid travelling until the highway is declared safe and clear for traffic, citing the possibility of further landslides and shooting stones.
It also urged commuters not to pay heed to rumours and to check the latest road status through the Traffic Police’s X handle, Facebook page and Traffic Control Units (TCUs).
