JALANDHAR: Around 10-12 schools in Jalandhar city received an email with a bomb threat between 7 and 9 AM on Monday. As the schools alerted the police, Jalandhar Commissionerate Police mobilised its anti-sabotage teams, local SHOs, ACP Model Town, ACP Cantt, ACP Central, and officers of ADCP rank.Under the supervision of these officials, multiple teams conducted anti-sabotage checks in each school, and a cyber investigation of the sender’s email ID is ongoing.Commissionerate Police said that, with the cooperation of school management, they brought the situation under control. The schools which received the mails also included the Police DAV Public School, which is located in the Punjab Armed Police Campus.The threatening emails came after two back-to-back incidents of firing, one at the house of a veterinarian and another at an IVF centre, on consecutive nights.
