Ahmedabad: Amit Kumar Yadav, an ANRF-National Postdoctoral Fellow at the Department of Biological Sciences and Engineering at IIT Gandhinagar, has been awarded the prestigious Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) Postdoctoral Fellowship (2025) under the Horizon Europe programme of the European Commission.Yadav is currently working with prof Dhiraj Bhatia at the same department, where he is engaged in advanced research at the interface of nanotechnology, biosensing, and molecular diagnostics. His selected project, TetraWalk-PEC, aims to advance next-generation molecular diagnostic technologies through programmable DNA nanostructures and photoelectrochemical sensing platforms.Yadav told TOI that he is a native of Tatijharia in Jharkhand. “It was my curiosity about the world around me that motivated me to take up science. My father, who is a teacher, has been a motivating force in my academic journey. As a junior research fellow, I worked at the Cancer Genetics Laboratory at the University of Delhi, where I sought to understand molecular mechanisms involved in cancer drug resistance,” he said.
