Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei was killed in massive U.S.-Israel strikes on Tehran on February 28, after satellite imagery showed heavy damage and plumes of smoke rising from his Beit Rahbari residence. Visuals circulating from Reuters, Sputnik/Airbus and social media suggest the compound was nearly destroyed in what is described as a pre-emptive assault on key Iranian targets. The strikes come amid widening regional escalation, with Iran reportedly retaliating against U.S. bases in Bahrain and the UAE. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has vowed operations will continue “as long as required.”
