Prayagraj: Police on Sunday launched an investigation into the death of suspended constable Ajay Singh (54), who was allegedly brought by two men to SRN Hospital for treatment.Police said that Ajay, a 1994-batch constable, was posted at Dial 112 and was later suspended on charges of dereliction of duty.He was brought to the hospital in a critical condition, said police. When the doctors attended to him, he was found to have been brought dead. Upon being alerted, a team of Kotwali police rushed to the spot and identified the body as that of Ajay Singh.Ajay was staying in reserve police lines. Further investigations are under way.
