Intel is powering a wide range of personal and business PCs
The Indian government has warned millions of PC users in the country about a high security risk for Intel-powered laptops, machines and more. The alert comes via the Indian Computer Emergency Response Team or CERT-In this week and talks about multiple vulnerabilities which Intel has also issued with a range of security advisories that needs to be addressed immediately.
The fact that you have Intel processors facing these risks directly makes it a concern for anyone using PCs with its hardware or even the brands that sell Intel-powered devices in the market.
Intel Security Warning: What We Know
The CERT-In warning basically states the issues facing Intel processors and lists down the models that are affected. “Multiple vulnerabilities have been reported in Intel Products, which could allow an attacker to gain elevated privileges and obtain sensitive information on the targeted system,” bulletin says.
The risks can be catastrophic as hackers can bypass the issues to take full control of the affected systems, cause device instability and even steal information from targeted users. Here is a list of the Intel processors that have been affected:
