The clip features two tech professionals, Lakhan and Nawamita, as they walk viewers through a typical workday at the company’s sprawling Reliance Corporate Park in Navi Mumbai.
The video opens with the two introducing themselves. “Ever wondered what it’s really like to be a developer at Jio? Let me show you a glimpse. Hi, I am Lakhan. Hi, I am Nawamita. We work at Jio,” they say in the clip.
Lakhan begins by describing the scale of the workplace. “My day starts at the Reliance Corporate Park, a 507-acre campus in Navi Mumbai. It’s basically a city inside a city,” he says, setting the tone for what follows.
Working on apps used by millions
Nawamita then talks about the scale and impact of the work done by Jio’s developers. “The first thing I do every morning is get my coffee. I work on apps like MyJio and JioMart, stuff you have probably used this week. MyJio alone has over a billion downloads and around 30 million daily active users. So every line of code impacts user at a massive scale,” she says.

Lakhan highlights the collaborative nature of the role, saying the day usually begins with a quick team meeting where everyone discusses ongoing work. He adds that unexpected issues are part of the job, recalling moments when a sudden alert announces that “the code has crashed in production”. According to him, such situations bring the entire team together to resolve the issue quickly. He also stresses that being a developer at Jio goes beyond writing code, involving regular coordination with designers, QA teams and product managers.
More than just work
The video also focuses on life beyond the desk. Lakhan says lunch is “always exciting” because of the variety of cafeterias and food options across the campus. After lunch, employees often unwind with activities such as carom, foosball or table tennis before returning to work.
Nawamita sums up the second half of the day with, “Then it’s back to code, test, deploy and all the hustle.”
The clip ends by showcasing the campus facilities, including a gym, lake, yoga classes, badminton and paddle tennis courts, football turf and even a cricket stadium. Nawamita also mentions a temple inside the campus, calling it “a really peaceful spot after a long day”.
