Ludhiana: With the MC deploying modern machinery, including infrared pothole repair machines, to carry out road repairs across the city, MC commissioner Dr Neeru Katyal Gupta conducted inspections at various locations on Thursday.The civic body’s hot mix plant is operating at full capacity to expedite repair works, while modern equipment is being used to improve efficiency. Inspections were carried out at Mall Road, near the BRS Nagar canal bridge, Focal Point and other areas.MC joint commissioner Vineet Kumar, superintending engineers Sham Lal Gupta and Praveen Singla, along with other officials, were present during the inspection.The commissioner issued directions to ensure there was no compromise on the quality of work and asked officials to speed up repair activities.Dr Gupta said modern machinery has been deployed to repair potholes across Ludhiana. She added that the progress of development works is being regularly monitored and officials have been instructed to expedite the projects.Apart from pothole repairs, several road reconstruction works are also underway across the city.
