Hyderabad: Chief minister A Revanth Reddy on Monday advised party MLCs and MLAs to refrain from creating unnecessary controversies with their loose talk, and said they should focus on informing the people about the future plans of the Congress govt for their welfare and development, rather than giving time to expose the failures of the previous BRS govt.“This is the third budget we are going to present. This is the right time to inform the people from the assembly and council about the govt’s plans to fulfil the aspirations of the people. The roadmap we formulate now will serve as the agenda for the next assembly elections,” Revanth Reddy said, addressing the Congress Legislature Party (CLP) meeting in the conference hall of the assembly.Giving the roadmap of strategy to be adopted in the current budget session, Revanth directed all the Congress MLCs and MLAs, including woman legislators, to ensure 100% attendance at the budget session and participate in the debates actively. There should be good coordination between govt whips and MLAs in the House during the discussion.Revanth made it clear that it was not acceptable to simply show up, mark attendance, and then leave. Attendance will be strictly recorded three times a day. MLAs must also come prepared on the subjects under discussion.Revanth suggested to the MLAs and MLCs to tour other states and study the best practices. The MLAs were also ordered to focus more on the drinking water crisis in summer. The 99-Day “Praja Palana – Pragati Pranalika” should be taken directly to the people at the grassroots level, the CM said.TPCC president B Mahesh Kumar Goud said ministers must strongly counter the false propaganda being spread by opposition parties regarding the six guarantees of Congress.
