Bokaro: Local social media influencers were assigned the responsibility of creating awareness on the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls across digital platforms by Bokaro deputy commissioner and district election officer Ajay Nath Jha on Tueday.The influencers will use their online reach to encourage every eligible voter to fill enumeration forms. Officials said the initiative aims to turn reels into tools of democracy and voter education.“These digital creators, widely followed across platforms, are becoming part of a civic awareness mission aimed at strengthening democracy,” Jha said.The DC said creators who earned popularity through humorous content can now help educate voters and ensure participation in the electoral process. He stressed that no eligible voter should be left out of the SIR exercise.An influencer said, “We have always used our platforms to entertain people. If our reels can help even one eligible voter understand the SIR process and get enrolled, it will be our biggest achievement.”
