Hyderabad: Indonesia mooted the setting up of a Hyderabad–Jakarta Technology Skills Development Corridor, with an eye on enabling structured exchange of technological talent and closer digital cooperation with Telangana, Telangana IT and industries minister D Sridhar Babu’s office said.The proposal was discussed during a meeting between Sridhar Babu and a high-level Indonesian delegation led by Indonesia’s Vice minister for communications and digital affairs, Nezar Patria, on the sidelines of the India AI Impact Summit 2026 at Bharat Mandapam on Thursday.

According to Telangana govt officials, the discussions focused on building a framework for collaboration in skill development, talent identification, technology innovation, and cooperation within the start-up ecosystem.Indonesia’s Patria was understood to urge Telangana to take the lead in establishing the corridor and sought technical assistance for implementing Indonesia’s National Digital Roadmap.The Indonesian delegation also invited Telangana to share its experience in supporting emerging enterprises and strengthening start-up networks.Sridhar Babu said Telangana would partner with Indonesia on digital transformation priorities, including technology talent alignment, ethical artificial intelligence, and policy frameworks. He said closer linkage between Telangana’s IT ecosystem and Indonesia’s digital priorities could improve global visibility for Telangana’s technology capabilities while deepening bilateral digital cooperation.
