An IndiGo Lucknow-Dammam flight made an emergency landing in Ahmedabad after a bomb threat, but security checks found nothing suspicious.

NEW DELHI: An IndiGo flight from Lucknow to Dammam made an emergency landing at Ahmedabad airport on Thursday after a bomb threat was reported onboard, news agency ANI reported quoting Ahmedabad Police .The threat was discovered after a crew member found the word ‘Bomb’ written on a piece of paper inside the aircraft.There were 107 passengers and six crew members onboard the Lucknow-Dammam 6E 97 flight. All passengers and crew members were safe at Terminal 2 of the airport, police said.

Ahmedabad Police said, “Lucknow-Dammam 6E 97 IndiGo flight made an emergency landing in Ahmedabad after a bomb threat onboard. A member of the crew had found ‘Bomb’ written on a piece of paper. There are 107 passengers and 6 crew membes onboard, all of them are safe at Terminal 2 of the airport. SOG, local Police and CISF conducted an inspection of the aircraft. Nothing suspicious was found onboard the aircraft.”The Special Operations Group (SOG), local police and Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) conducted a thorough inspection of the aircraft after it landed.No suspicious object or material was found onboard during the inspection, according to the police.
