The Iranian embassy in the United Kingdom on Friday slammed the US and Israeli strike on the B1 bridge near Karaj by citing a London example: “Imagine if someone blew up Tower Bridge”.

In the strongly worded message shared on the embassy’s X account, Iran shared the picture of the detroyed bridge in Karaj, alongside another picture of the iconic Tower bridge and asked, “What would your reaction be?”
In the social media post, the embassy accused the United States and Israel of carrying out a “terrorist act” and described Israel as “the biggest enemy and the most imminent threat to the world.”

“Imagine if someone blew up Tower Bridge. What would your reaction be?” the post read, urging people to “wake up and open your eyes to the truth.” The statement comes in the backdrop of escalating tensions following a deadly strike on the B1 bridge near Karaj in Iran, which marked a significant turning point in the ongoing conflict.
The airstrike, which hit the newly constructed bridge connecting Tehran and Karaj, killed at least eight civilians and injured dozens more, according to international reports. The attack reportedly took place when people had gathered nearby to celebrate Nature Day, making it one of the most high-profile civilian infrastructure strikes since the conflict began in late February. Iran has strongly condemned the strike, calling it an attack on civilian infrastructure and a sign of “moral collapse.”
In a sign of possible retaliation, Iranian media outlets have published a list of key bridges across Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, the UAE and Jordan that could be targeted in response. These include major strategic links such as the King Fahd Causeway and Sheikh Zayed Bridge.
