Chennai: Indian Institute of Technology, Madras, has invited applications for its postgraduate programmes, including MTech, MSc, MA, for the academic year 2026-27.It offers 34 MTech programmes, including aerospace engineering, data science and AI, electric vehicles, robotics, semiconductor materials technology, ocean engineering, among others. It also offers MA programmes in English studies, development studies, economics, public policy, along with MSc programmes in physics, chemistry and mathematics. The last date to apply online is April 26. Candidates can apply on the official portal: https://mtechadm.iitm.ac.in.Professor Prathap Haridoss, dean (academic courses), said, “A total of 753 seats in MTech and 100 seats in MA are available. GATE-qualified candidates from across the country can apply for these programmes and grow with our innovative ecosystem.” Eligible candidates include GATE-qualified applicants (2024, 2025 or 2026), IIT graduates with a CGPA of 8.0 and above, sponsored candidates from recognized organizations, and other categories such as QIP and defence-sponsored candidates. Admissions for MSc programmes will be conducted through the JAM examination, while MA admissions are also routed through GATE for eligible candidates.
